Cell Stabilisation Reagents for use in Flow Cytometry
TransFix Cellular Antigen Stabilisation Reagent
Transfix® Bulk is intended for stabilising human whole blood specimens for immunophenotyping of white blood cells by flow cytometry. Can be purchased in 20ml or 1ml containers.
Sample Storage Tubes
TransFix is a cellular antigen stabilisation solution that prevents cellular degradation in a variety of specimen types for flow cytometric analysis. TransFix Sample Storage Tubes (SST) are ideal for use where blood specimens have already been collected in EDTA direct collection tubes.
Blood Collection Tubes
TransFix/EDTA Vacuum Blood Collection Tubes (TVTs) are plastic, direct draw collection tubes used to stabilise venous blood at the point of collection and preserve whole blood specimens for immunophenotyping by flow cytometry.
Circulating Tumour Cells
TransFix stabilised blood is compatible with a range of methods for the isolation and analysis of circulating tumour cells (CTC). The number of CTC populations present in patient blood is very low, therefore the usefulness of CTC assessments depends upon accurate cell counts and the corresponding analysis of molecular targets.
Cerebrospinal Fluid
Analysis of white blood cell infiltration of Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) is important in the diagnosis of diseases including inflammatory neurologic diseases, acute and chronic leukaemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, lymphomas, myeloma, autoimmune diseases, immunodeficiencies and solid tumours.
